Good question but No you can’t ask get an enhanced dbs check done on yourself? Only organisations and licensing bodies can apply for a dbs check,
You can of course as an individual apply for a basic disclosure.
If you work for yourself, are self employed and need to get an enhanced DBS check done on yourself then depending on what sector niche you are in and if you meet some criteria you may be able to get one. You would do this through your Local Authority or via the governing body of the sector you work in.
Remember there are 4 different levels of DBS you can choose from as follows
- Basic DBS
- Standard DBS
- Enhanced DBS
- Enhanced with list
